Welcome to the Raider Music page! I grew up singing, dancing and acting. My sisters and I (I am the youngest of five girls in my family) used to go around to different places, like churches and nursing homes, to perform. At age 5, I was in my first musical and at age 6, my first professional musical. I was a part of professional theatre until high school when my focus shifted to show choir. I continued singing throughout high school and college, participating in a number of choirs such as FAME All-Stars--a national show choir---where I was the featured soloist. We took our show all over Italy and made incredible memories that will last a lifetime!
I began my college career as a double major--vocal performance and music education. After a few years, I felt that God was calling me to something else. I switched my major to Theology and taught religion for several years at Bishop Luers High School. After my third baby, I decided to be a stay-at-home mom. That, of course, didn't last. A few years later, I was in search for a part-time job where I could use my teaching and theology degree. God brought me to St. John's as the youth minister. Here, I met the music director for the church, Mr. Parr. He found out that I was a singer, and asked if I would be interested in teaching music. It's amazing what God does for you when you listen to Him! This job has been an aboslute blessing! After working here, my husband and I bought a house in New Haven, my kids now go to school at St. John's and I have the absolute best job I could ever ask for! Thank you all for allowing me to bring God's gift of music to St. John the Baptist!
